Israeli hostage, 72, unaware of husband’s fate during Hamas captivity

Adina Moshe, a 72-year-old woman held captive by Hamas, remained oblivious to the tragic demise of her husband, according to her nephew, Eyal Nouri. She was released along with 12 others on Friday.

Eyal Nouri revealed, “She’s been examined by medical experts and is in good health, but she was not fully cognizant of the unfolding events since 7 October.”

“She was completely unaware of the conflict,” Nouri added. “She did not even realize that her husband had been killed. She witnessed him being wounded and attempted to tend to his injuries, but she was taken away from the scene before she could comprehend his passing.”

Furthermore, Mrs. Moshe was unaware of the fate of her son, Amos, who miraculously survived along with his wife, Corinne, and their five children.

“Yesterday, for the first time, she discovered that Amos had endured. She was able to see him and embrace him,” Nouri recounted.

During her captivity, Mrs. Moshe endured a period of “complete darkness” and had to readjust to the brightness of daylight, as described by Mr. Nouri, who emphasized her disconnection from the outside world.

Mr. Nouri also stressed that the journey to secure the release of the hostages had just commenced and was far from over. He asserted, “We are committed to continuing the fight for the safe return of the remaining hostages.”
