Peter Obi Celebrates Atiku Abubakar’s 77th Birthday: “You’re My Elder Brother, Leader”

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has been described as an elder brother and leader by Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 general election.

Obi conveyed his heartfelt felicitations to Atiku on his 77th birthday and extolled his numerous contributions to Nigeria’s socio-political and economic development, particularly lauding his role in nurturing the nation’s democracy.

Expressing his sentiments in a post on X, Obi titled his message: “Your Excellency, My Very Dear Respected Elder Brother and Leader, Alhaji @Atiku Abubakar, Waziri Adamawa, I rejoice with you as you mark your 77th birthday today.”

Obi further stated, “You have significantly impacted the nation’s economic growth through your diverse business ventures, creating employment opportunities and enhancing overall national productivity.”

He continued, “Your commitment to education has made a profound contribution to the development of manpower in our country. Your investments in educational institutions at all levels, from primary to tertiary, have added immense value to our education system. Furthermore, your scholarships have widened access to education for underprivileged students.”

Obi emphasized Atiku’s role in poverty alleviation, acknowledging, “You have played a pivotal part in lifting people out of poverty through your business enterprises, creating employment and contributing to national productivity.”
