Senate Confirms Appointments of Chairman and Members of Federal Civil Service Commission

The Nigerian Senate has officially approved the appointments of the chairman and members of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC).

Following President Bola Tinubu’s announcement in October, Professor Tunji Olaopa was appointed as the Chairman of the Federal Civil Service Commission, alongside the appointment of 11 others who are set to lead the country’s civil service effective from November 30, 2023.

The confirmation by the Senate solidifies the appointment of Professor Tunji Olaopa as the chairman, as well as the appointments of Dr. Dauda Jalo, Edet Eyoma, Chamberlain Nwele, Rufus Godwins, and Dr. Adamu Hussein as members of the commission.

Additionally, the Senate has confirmed the appointments of Aminu Nabegu, Hindatu Abdullahi, Shehu Aliyu, Odekunle Rukiyat, Princess Sarah Adebisi, and Dr. Festus Oyebade as members of the commission.
