The Big Brother Titans, featuring a mix of Nigerian and South African housemates, held its inaugural live eviction show on Sunday evening, resulting in the elimination of two contestants. Sandra and Theo Traw, who were paired together under the codename ‘Santheo,’ became the first evictees of the show’s debut season. While Sandra hails from Nigeria, Theo Traw is from South Africa.

In the first week of the competition, the housemates were paired as male and female duos. According to Big Brother’s rules, these pairs were expected to collaborate within the house, take turns as Heads of House, and face nominations and evictions together. Each pair was required to select a codename, with some opting to create names by merging their individual names.

During the nomination process on Monday, several pairs were put up for possible eviction: Sandra and Theo Traw (Santheo), Tsatsii and Ebubu (Royals), Justin and Yvonne (Juvone), and Nelisa and Yemi Cregx (Yelisa). The Heads of House, Blaqboi and Ipeleng, known as Blaqleng, had the opportunity to use their veto power to save one pair and replace them with another. They chose to save the Royals and substituted them with Juicy Jay and Olivia, who were dubbed Juiovla.

After the veto save twist, the pairs facing eviction were Juvone, Yelisa, Santheo, and Juiovla. Following the voting by fans, Santheo received the fewest votes and was evicted from the show on Sunday. Upon leaving, Theo Traw remarked, “I didn’t get much from them (housemates) in terms of trying to have conversations,” while Sandra expressed, “I was stepping on toes and cracking necks.” With the eviction of Sandra and Theo Traw, 22 contestants remain in the competition, consisting of 11 Nigerians and 11 South Africans, all vying for the grand prize of $100,000.
