Nasarawa Governor Approves N199 Billion Budget for 2024

Nasarawa State’s Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has officially signed off on the state’s N199.8 billion budget for the 2024 fiscal year. The 2024 budget, titled “Budget of Renewed Commitment,” received praise from the governor as he expressed gratitude to the Speaker and members of the state Assembly for their thoroughness in passing the budget.

During the signing ceremony, Governor Sule assured the state’s residents that his administration would diligently implement the budget within the economic constraints. He also emphasized the government’s commitment to strictly adhering to the budgetary provisions and called for the state assembly members to thoroughly carry out their oversight responsibilities to address any identified loopholes.

In response, Speaker of the State Assembly, Mr. Danladi Jatau, reaffirmed the legislature’s dedication to supporting the governor in executing programs that benefit the people. He underscored that the budget had successfully undergone all necessary legislative procedures, cementing its legitimacy.

The 2024 budget’s approval marks a significant step in Nasarawa State’s economic and developmental trajectory, with the governor’s commitment and legislative support aimed at ensuring the effective realization of outlined programs and initiatives.
