In recent data released by the Henley Passport Index, Kenyan passport holders have emerged with the ability to travel to 76 countries around the world without the need for a visa. This signifies a significant increase in global travel access, positioning Kenya’s passport at the 67th spot globally, parallel to that of Malawi. The African continent showcases a diverse landscape of passport strengths, with the Seychelles leading at 26, followed closely by Mauritius at 30, South Africa at 53, and Namibia, Lesotho, and Eswatini at 65, 66, and 67, respectively. The global leaders in passport strength include France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Singapore, and Spain, whose citizens enjoy unrestricted access to 194 countries without the requirement of a visa. This ranking highlights the evolving landscape of global mobility and the corresponding impact on international travel.
