The screening committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State has cleared 12 candidates to compete for the party’s gubernatorial ticket. The primary elections are scheduled for February 22.

The National Organizing Secretary, Suleiman Muhammad Argungu, confirmed that the screening took place over two days, and the successful candidates include Pastor Osagie Andrew Ize-Iyamu, Col David Imuse, and Prince Clem Agba.

The statement further outlined that the “Certificate of Screening will be presented to all the 12 Gubernatorial Aspirants at the Party’s National Secretariat by the National Organising Secretary, Saturday, 10th February, 2024.”

Should any of the 12 aspirants emerge as the party’s flagbearer during the primary polls, they will contest the Governorship seat on September 21, according to Media Talk Africa.
