Taraba Governor Urges NYSC Members to Prioritize Diligence and Dedication

Taraba State Governor, Agbu Kefas, reiterated the critical importance of diligence and dedication amongst National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members during the opening ceremony of the Batch A Stream 1 orientation course. The event took place at the permanent orientation camp in Sibere, Ardo-kola Local Government Area of the state. The Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Joshua Joseph, underscored the administration’s commitment to the welfare of corps members. He urged them to actively engage in scheduled training activities, embrace diversity, and promote national unity by interacting with peers from various backgrounds.

Furthermore, Governor Kefas pledged support for the advancement of key sectors such as education, agriculture, sports, tourism, healthcare services, and infrastructure, calling on Corps members to contribute to the development of these areas. The Taraba State Coordinator of NYSC, Anthony Nzuka, emphasized the significance of the orientation course and encouraged corp members to wholeheartedly participate in the exercises.

Notably, 1,475 corps members took an oath during the event, administered by the Chief Judge of Taraba State, Justice Filibus Agya, represented by Justice Nuhu Adi. This event marks a significant step in fostering unity and commitment amongst Nigerian youth towards national development.
