APC Set to Screen 16 Governorship Aspirants in Ondo State for Primaries

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has announced that the 16 governorship aspirants in Ondo State vying for the party’s ticket ahead of the April 20 gubernatorial primaries will undergo screening soon. The national chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje, assured the aspirants of a fair playing field during the primaries.

Addressing the media through the deputy national organizing secretary, Nze Chidi Duru, the national chairman emphasized the commitment of the National Working Committee (NWC) to ensuring strict adherence to the rules governing the primary election. He also confidently stated that the APC will emerge victorious in the November 16 polls, maintaining its stronghold in the state.

The screening exercise is scheduled to take place on the 11th and 12th of April, with the aspirants being grouped accordingly. Among the 16 aspirants are Governor Lucky Ayiedatiwa, Olusoji Ehinlanwo, Jimi Odimayo, Jimoh Ibrahim, and APC National Vice Chairman (South West) Isaac Kekemeke. Other notable aspirants include Wale Akinterinwa, Olugbenga Oedema, Olusola Oke, and two female aspirants, Funmilayo Adekojo and Funke Omogoroye.
