Former Nigerian lawmaker, Daniel Bwala, has raised concerns about the quality of boreholes donated by Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP). Bwala criticized the boreholes, stating that they do not align with principles of justice, equity, and conscience.

During his tenure as governor of Anambra State, Obi’s management of the Water Corporation was reportedly subpar, according to Bwala. Despite this, Obi recently completed a tour of 19 northern states in Nigeria, where he donated boreholes to communities in Kaduna, Sokoto, and other regions.

While many Nigerians have praised Obi’s philanthropic efforts, Bwala and others have expressed dissatisfaction with the quality of the boreholes. In a social media post, Bwala highlighted the discrepancies between Obi’s governance style and his recent charitable actions.

Bwala’s criticism underscores the importance of transparency and accountability in public service. As Nigeria prepares for the 2023 elections, it is crucial for voters to scrutinize the track records of political candidates and hold them accountable for their actions.

By shedding light on issues like the quality of infrastructure projects, citizens can make informed decisions about the leaders they choose to represent them. It is essential for public figures to uphold ethical standards and prioritize the well-being of the communities they serve.
