NNPP Stakeholders Pass Vote of No Confidence on Governor Abba Yusuf in Kano State

In a recent development within the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in the 19 Northern States, a group of concerned stakeholders have expressed their dissatisfaction with Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State. The group, led by Hon. Attahiru Musa and Hon. Simon Pam, issued a communique highlighting their disappointment with the current state of affairs within the party, particularly in Kano State.

According to the stakeholders, the NNPP has failed to live up to its promises in Kano State, with the party’s leadership being criticized as even worse than the central government and previous administrations. Governor Abba Yusuf, once seen as a beacon of hope for change, has now come under fire for failing to deliver on his promises of good governance and quality leadership.

The stakeholders lamented the missed opportunity for Kano State to set an example for the rest of the country, emphasizing the need for accountability and transparency in government. The ongoing feud between Governor Abba Yusuf and his predecessor, Umar Ganduje, who is now the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has further exacerbated tensions within the state.

The state government’s threat to prosecute Ganduje for alleged financial misappropriation during his time as governor has only added fuel to the fire. As the NNPP grapples with internal strife and external challenges, the future of the party in Kano State remains uncertain.

This latest development serves as a stark reminder of the complexities and power struggles within Nigerian politics, with implications that extend beyond party lines. As stakeholders and citizens alike demand accountability and transparency from their leaders, the fate of Kano State hangs in the balance.
