APC Petitions Police to Apprehend Impersonators of Ganduje Ward Executives

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken action against alleged impostors in Kano State, calling for the investigation and apprehension of Auwalu Jemomi and eight others for falsely claiming to be party executives of Ganduje Ward in Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area.

In a petition to the Inspector General of Police, Prof. Abdulkarim Kana, the National Legal Adviser of the party, expressed concern over the confusion and unrest caused by Jemomi and his group’s announcement of the suspension of APC national chairman Abdullahi Ganduje. The unauthorized statement issued by the impostors has led to significant turmoil among party members and the public.

Kana emphasized the illegality and potential disruption of public peace caused by the impersonation and dissemination of false information. He urged the police to swiftly investigate the matter and apprehend the perpetrators, including any sponsors or conspirators involved.

The legal adviser of Ganduje’s ward, Haladu Gwanjo, cited bribery allegations against Ganduje as the reason for his suspension from the party. This decision was further affirmed by a Kano State High Court, which issued an ex parte order restraining Ganduje from representing himself as an APC member.

The APC’s efforts to address the issue of impostors within its ranks highlight the party’s commitment to upholding integrity and order. As the investigation unfolds, the quest for justice and accountability remains paramount in ensuring the party’s credibility and unity.
