Michael Owen Advises Cole Palmer to Stay at Chelsea Amid Transfer Speculations

Former Manchester United striker Michael Owen has advised Chelsea’s Cole Palmer to remain at the club during the current summer transfer window.

Palmer, who had an outstanding first season at Chelsea after his transfer from Manchester City, scored 22 goals and provided 11 assists in 33 Premier League appearances for the Blues.

When asked about Palmer’s future at Chelsea, Owen suggested that the 22-year-old should continue his career at Stamford Bridge for now.

“People tend to always want to better themselves in life. I mean, it’s not just footballers. Most people would try to better themselves,” Owen told AceOdds. “He went to Chelsea because he wasn’t getting a game at Man City. If he had the opportunity to go to a team that was going to give him more of a chance of winning the league or Champions League, then that’s when it becomes interesting.

“But listen, if Man City came back in for him and wanted to spend £100m, then that is a different question. But I think he’d probably stay put at the moment.”
