Rick Ross’ African Music Odyssey: Collaborations and Album Details

Breaking News: Rick Ross Confirms Collaboration with Blaqbonez for African-Themed Album

In a thrilling turn of events, American rapper Rick Ross has confirmed his collaboration with Nigerian rapper Blaqbonez for his upcoming African-themed album. The news was revealed during an Instagram Live session between the two artists.

According to Blaqbonez, his hit single “Bling” featuring Amaarae and BNXN was revealed as Rick Ross’ favorite song, which led to the collaboration. The song was inspired by the pain of losing the Best Rapper award to Kenya’s Kaligraph Jones at the Soundcity MVP awards.

This collaboration marks a significant milestone in Rick Ross’ journey to create an African-themed album, which will feature a diverse range of artists from across the continent. Other artists set to feature on the album include Nigerian Grammy-nominated star Ayra Starr, Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy, and Tanzanian superstar Diamond Platinum.

Interestingly, this collaboration also marks a full circle moment for Rick Ross, who was featured by Nigerian iconic duo P-Square in 2011 on the remix of their hit single “Beautiful Oyinye”.
