Arteta Targets Man City’s Elite Data Analyst for Gunners Boost

Arsenal Conducts Fifth Raid on Manchester City

In a bid to strengthen their prospects, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is reportedly looking to poach Manchester City’s elite development squad analyst, Darren Rogerson. According to The Athletic, the Gunners are intensifying their efforts to recruit Rogerson, with a move expected to be complete this summer.

Rogerson, who has previously worked with Sheffield United, Rangers, and Derby, is expected to play a crucial role in Arteta’s setup, working closely with the Arsenal first team from the early days of the new campaign. His expertise and knowledge of elite-level opposition will undoubtedly be a valuable addition to the Gunners’ coaching staff.

Interestingly, Rogerson will not be the first former Manchester City employee to join the north London club. Ben Chadwick, who previously held a similar role under Pep Guardiola at City, has already made the switch to Emirates Stadium, taking up the position of Head of Analysis. Additionally, set piece coach Nicolas Jover has proven to be a successful coup, already making a significant impact since joining from Manchester City.

This latest signing marks Arsenal’s fifth raid on Manchester City in recent times, highlighting their intentions to build a stronger, more successful team. With the summer transfer window fast approaching, it will be exciting to see how Arteta’s plans for 2023 unfold.
