Ali Ndume Dismisses Ex-PDP Spokesman Daniel Bwala’s Political Relevance

Nigeria: Former Senate Chief Whip Dismisses Ex-PDP Spokesman as Politically Irrelevant

In a surprise statement, Ali Ndume, former Senate Chief Whip, has declared Daniel Bwala, the ex-spokesman of the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, to be politically irrelevant. Ndume made the assertion while addressing journalists at his residence in Maiduguri, Borno State.

According to Ndume, Bwala cannot be trusted because he is only useful for attacking political opponents. He warned President Bola Tinubu to be cautious of Bwala’s intentions. The two individuals have been at odds over Ndume’s criticism of Tinubu, with Bwala defending the president.

Ndume accused Tinubu of preventing lawmakers and ministers from accessing him over the current hardship faced by Nigerians. Bwala, a former member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was quoted as saying that he is trying to garner sympathy from President Tinubu.

The dispute between Ndume and Bwala began when Ndume criticized Tinubu, prompting Bwala to respond with abusive and insulting words on live television. Ndume believes that Bwala can only be useful in attacking people, and is therefore not a credible political figure.

The incident has sparked controversy in Nigeria’s political circles, with many questioning Bwala’s motives and relevance in the country’s political landscape.
