NASENI Offers 50% Discount to Drivers via MY-CNG App

Nigeria Aims to Revolutionize Energy Future with 50% Discount on CNG Convertions

The National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) has launched a groundbreaking initiative aimed at transforming Nigeria’s energy sector. On Saturday, the agency announced that it will offer a 50 per cent discount to drivers who convert their vehicles to Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) using the newly launched MY-CNG App.

Speaking at the event in Abuja, NASENI’s Executive Vice Chairman and CEO, Khalil Halilu, highlighted the significance of Pi-CNG in Nigeria’s gas revolution. According to him, the initiative has quickly become a focal point in discussions on the nation’s energy future. Halilu emphasized the cleaner and more affordable nature of CNG fuel, which has the potential to reduce transportation costs by up to 70 per cent and deliver 40 per cent savings for car owners.

The Conversion Incentive Programme, aimed at the rideshare sector, including Uber and Bolt drivers, aims to reduce the cost of living for Nigerians. The programme, which began two months ago, offers drivers a 50 per cent discount on CNG conversions for sign-ups and use of the MY-CNG App.

Halilu underscored the importance of collaboration in making the initiative a success. "The launch of the MY-CNG App and the Conversion Incentive Programme reflect NASENI’s commitment to leveraging technology to drive national transformation," the statement added.

With this groundbreaking initiative, Nigeria is poised to revolutionize its energy sector and reduce its reliance on fossil fuels. By offering a cleaner, more affordable, and efficient alternative, NASENI is paving the way for a sustainable energy future for the country and the world.
