Atalanta Welcomes Back Lookman for Crunch Clash with Inter Milan

Atalanta has announced that Ademola Lookman has been included in their squad for their highly-anticipated Serie A match against Inter Milan on Friday. The Nigeria international winger has been struggling for playing time in his debut season with La Dea, and his inclusion comes as a surprise after being left out of Atalanta’s previous two league matches.

Lookman, 24, has yet to make an appearance in Serie A this season, having been asked to sit out Atalanta’s opening league fixture against Leece after being approached by French giants Paris Saint-Germain. He was also left out of the squad for the trip to Torino last weekend.

However, Lookman rejoined his teammates for training on Wednesday, and is expected to start the game against Inter Milan from the bench. Atalanta will be looking to secure their first-ever victory at the San Siro, a stadium known for being one of the toughest places to win in European football.

The Nigerian winger previously played for Leicester City before joining Atalanta, and his inclusion in the squad could prove to be a timely boost for Gian Piero Gasperini’s side. Atalanta will be looking to continue their impressive form and secure a spot in the top three of the Serie A table.
