Tinubu, Shettima Deny Rift in Presidency

Nigerian Vice President’s Loyalty Denounced as "Illogical Conspiracy Theories"

The Nigerian Presidency has categorically dismissed claims of a rift between President Bola Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima, describing the allegations as "illogical conspiracy theories." This comes as Shettima celebrated his 58th birthday with a statement praising President Tinubu as a "good soul" and a leader Nigerians can trust.

According to Shettima’s Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Stanley Nkwocha, the Vice President is a "colossal member" of Tinubu’s administration, enjoying the "total confidence and full support" of the President. Nkwocha emphasized that reports of the alleged rift were false, stressing Shettima’s loyalty to the President.

In the statement, Nkwocha described Shettima as a beacon of dedication and commitment to his principal, President Tinubu. He highlighted the Vice President’s unwavering support and teamwork, which have set a positive tone for their administration. Shettima has consistently demonstrated his loyalty through his words and actions, showcasing a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Unlike previous presidencies, which were plagued by public disagreements between vice presidents and their bosses, Shettima’s approach is a welcome change. He has proven himself to be a true partner to President Tinubu, working tirelessly to support his initiatives and vision for Nigeria.

The statement also dismissed recent claims of Shettima being sidelined in Tinubu’s administration as "illogical conspiracy theories." Nkwocha emphasized that Shettima has been a key player in the Renewed Hope Administration since assuming office, bringing a unique blend of experience, expertise, and energy to the table.

As the administration continues to take shape, it is clear that Vice President Shettima is a vital component, working closely with President Tinubu to drive progress and development in Nigeria.
