NNPP Swears in Caretaker Committee for Oyo State Chapter

New Caretaker Committee Sworn in to Run Oyo State Chapter of the New Nigeria People’s Party

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has taken a significant step in reorganizing its structure in Oyo State by inaugurating a five-member caretaker committee. The committee, led by Chief Motunde Fajuyi, was sworn in on Monday in Ibadan, the state capital.

According to a statement issued by the NNPP National Publicity Secretary, Ladipo Johnson, the inauguration was witnessed by officials from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the Department of State Security (DSS). This move comes four days after the National Working Committee (NWC) of the NNPP dissolved the executive committees in five states, including Taraba, Gombe, Benue, Oyo, and Bauchi.

Johnson thanked the committee members for accepting their appointments, urging them to work towards the growth and repositioning of the party. He also charged them to reach out to all party members in the state and work towards increasing the party’s membership base.

Speaking after taking the oath of allegiance and office, Fajuyi expressed the committee’s commitment to working hard to achieve its objectives. She promised to bring any factions within the party together and ensure a solid foundation for the party.

The caretaker committee has been tasked with running the affairs of the Oyo State chapter of the NNPP, and it is expected to work towards stabilizing the party and promoting its growth in the state.

With this development, the NNPP is poised to reassert its presence in Oyo State and other affected states, and the caretaker committee’s efforts will be closely watched by party loyalists and observers alike.
