Nigeria’s Vice-President Returns from UN General Assembly, Set to Mark Independence Anniversary

Nigerian Vice-President Kashim Shettima has returned to Abuja after representing President Bola Tinubu at the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York. Shettima’s successful attendance at the event culminated in his presentation of Nigeria’s National Statement at the General Debate.

The Vice-President’s spokesperson, Stanley Nkwocha, confirmed Shettima’s activities during the assembly, stating that he participated in several bilateral meetings and numerous sideline events. As part of the celebrations, Shettima will soon join President Tinubu to commemorate Nigeria’s 64th Independence anniversary.
