Instagram’s Secret Sauce: New ‘Best Practices’ Tool for Creators

Instagram Updates Professional Dashboard with "Best Practices" Section

Social media giant Instagram has introduced a new feature for professional users, aiming to aid creators in growing their audience and strengthening their content on the platform. The "best practices" section is now available on the professional dashboard, providing users with personalized tips, educational reels, and guidance on creation, engagement, reach, monetization, and guidelines.

The update is part of Instagram’s efforts to support creators in their efforts to succeed on the platform. According to Meta’s blog post, the section is designed to give creators a sense of how their account is performing and provide them with the resources they need to succeed.

Creators can access the new feature by navigating to their profile and clicking on the "professional dashboard" at the top of the page. The section includes five main topic areas: creation, engagement, reach, monetization, and guidelines. For example, the creation section offers tips such as "make creating reels part of your routine," "check your timing," and "try trending audio," while the engagement section encourages creators to "focus on deeper engagement" and "reply to comments within a couple of days."

In addition to the personalized tips, the section also features a series of Reels that showcase how creators use the tools. Meta has stated that it will continue to update the best practices section to ensure it has the latest guidance for creators.

The good news is that anyone can switch to a professional account, allowing them to access the new feature. To do so, users can click on the three dots or dashes in the top right corner of their profile, navigate to settings and privacy, click on account type and tools, and switch to a professional account.

The update is a significant development for creators on Instagram, providing them with the resources they need to succeed on the platform. With the "best practices" section, creators can gain valuable insights and tips to improve their content and engagement, ultimately helping them to build a stronger online presence.
