Nigeria’s Most Anticipated TV Show, Big Brother Naija, Crowns Kellyrae Winner of Season 9

In a thrilling finale, Kellyrae was announced as the winner of Big Brother Naija Season 9, taking home the grand prize of N60 million, an SUV, and other rewards. The 25-year-old contestant pipped fellow housemate Wanni, who emerged as the runner-up, and Onyeka, who came in second runner-up.

This season’s theme, “No Loose Guard,” which premiered on July 24, 2024, welcomed 14 pairs of housemates, but only one pair and six individual contestants made it to the final. Kellyrae’s win marks the second time an individual contestant has taken the top prize, following last season’s All-Stars winner Ilebaye Odiniya (Gen Z Baddie).

The top 8 contestants who made it to the final included Kellyrae, Victoria, Wanni, Ozee, Sooj, Nelly, and Anita. Among the eight finalists, Kellyrae, Victoria, and Wanni were considered favourites by many viewers to make the top three and earn final podium spots.

Big Brother Naija, regarded as Nigeria’s most anticipated TV show, has become a staple of Nigerian entertainment, drawing millions of viewers each season.
