Ahead of the November 16 governorship election in Ondo State, Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo has called on the Ebira community residing in Ondo to rally behind Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
Ododo made this appeal during a gathering of Ebira indigenes in Owo, the headquarters of the Owo Local Government Area, where he emphasized the need for unity and support for Aiyedatiwa. He highlighted that the Ebira people have collectively decided to endorse Aiyedatiwa, citing his commitment to the welfare of all residents, including non-indigenes in the state.
“The entire Ebira community across Ondo State has resolved to support and vote for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the upcoming election,” Ododo stated. “Governor Aiyedatiwa, the Ebira community stands with you. We are here in solidarity because we believe in continuity. Since the passing of the late Governor Akeredolu, you have upheld his legacies and continued the good work he started.”
In response, Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude for the backing from the Ebira community. He also praised President Bola Tinubu for his dedication to advancing the economic development of Ondo State, further strengthening the bond between the state leadership and the Ebira populace.
As the election date approaches, the support from the Ebira community represents a significant endorsement for Aiyedatiwa, highlighting the importance of unity among diverse groups within Ondo State as they head to the polls.
