AFCON 2025Q: Lookman misses Super Eagles training ahead Rwanda clash

Ademola Lookman missed training on Saturday as the Super Eagles commenced preparation for their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matchday six encounter against the Amavubi of Rwanda.

The Atalanta star, according to the Super Eagles media officer, Promise Efoghe, picked up a knock in the team’s 1-1 draw against Benin Republic on Thursday.

Lookman was replaced by Frank Onyeka late in the game.

His readiness for the clash with the Amavubi will be ascertaind during the Super Eagles’ final training session on Sunday.

Nottingham Forest defender Ola Aina has already been released from camp after picking up a knock against Benin Republic.

Goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali was also allowed to leave camp following the death of his father.

The Super Eagles will host Rwanda at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo on Monday.
