Benue APC enters Appeal and stay of execution in Agada’s judgment

The Benue State All Progressives Congress, APC, has entered an appeal at the Makurdi division of the Court of Appeal against the judgment delivered in favor of Austin Agada by Justice T.A Kume of the Benue State High Court in the case of fundamental Human rights enforcement.

Not satisfied with the ruling, the APC through their lawyer, Mathew Burkaa SAN, has filed the Appeal on Friday today.

The APC has also filed a motion at the state High Court for a stay of execution in the Judgement of Austin Agada pending the hearing and determination of the Appeal.

The motion is praying for the following Orders; ”An order of injunction restraining the 1st – 9th Respondents from enforcing or taking any step to enforce or take benefit of the Ruling/Judgment of the Honourable Court in Suit No: MHC/1587M/2024 delivered on the 28th day of November 2024, pending the hearing and determination of the Appellant’s appeal against the said Ruling/Judgment by the Court of Appeal.

Meanwhile, APC Caretaker Committee Chairman in Benue State, Benjamin Omale, has called on party faithful in Benue State to remain calm and go about their lawful businesses as there is no reason to panic.
