Yobe govt begins payment of N70,000 minimum wage

Yobe State workers began receiving N70,000 minimum wage this December, as promised by the state Governor, Mai Mala Buni.

Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Digital and Strategic Communication, Yusuf Ali, disclosed this in a post via his Facebook page.

He posted that the workers started receiving their December salary alerts on Thursday under the new minimum wage structure, recently approved by the Governor for the state workers.

“The commencement of the payment of the minimum wage is yet another significant milestone for the state and a testament to the commitment of Governor Mai Mala Buni to the welfare of the state workforce.

“No doubt, the minimum wage will have a positive impact on the lives of Yobe State civil servants, and their families.

“Some of the key benefits among others include: improved living standards, enhanced morals and economic boosts”, Yusuf posted.
