BREAKING: Customs revenue increased by 90.4%, hit N6.1trn in 2024 - CG, Adeniyi

The Comptroller General of the Nigeria Customs Service, Bashir Adeniyi, announced that the service collected N6.1 trillion in revenue in 2024. This figure represents a remarkable 90.4 percent increase from the N3.2 trillion recorded in 2023. Adeniyi made this disclosure during a press conference held in Abuja on Tuesday.

He highlighted that the Nigeria Customs Service exceeded its 2024 revenue target of N5.07 trillion by 22 percent. Notably, the highest revenue collection occurred in October, when the service collected N603 billion.

Adeniyi emphasized the unprecedented performance of the service in 2024, stating, “The service recorded N6.105.315 trillion, which is above the N5.07 trillion 2024 revenue target by 22 percent.”
