EPL: Aguero names four teams that can still win title

Former Argentina striker, Sergio Aguero, has claimed four teams can still win the Premier League title this season.

Liverpool currently have a healthy lead at the top of the table, having opened a six-point gap with a game in hand.

The Reds finished in third place in Jurgen Klopp’s final season and were expected to be in transition under Arne SLot.

However, they have only lost twice all season and also sit top of the Champions League.

Aguero has admitted it will be “tough” to catch Liverpool, but insists Arsenal, Chelsea and his former club Manchester City cannot be ruled out of the title race.

Arsenal are joint-second with Nottingham Forest, while Chelsea are fourth above City.

“To compete for the title, you’ve got to win as many matches as possible,” Aguero, who is Stake’s ambassador, said.

Aguero was previewing Man City’s clash against Chelsea this Saturday.

He added: “Chelsea is just another hurdle and beating them would be a massive boost.

“I wouldn’t look out the rear-view mirror to see how it benefits others – I’d look straight ahead and think about what’s best for City.

“I’m not big on predictions. At present, Liverpool has racked up a sizable advantage, it’s hard to ignore how tough it’d be to erase their point lead.

“But this remains the Premier League, and the impossible has happened before. Arsenal and Chelsea are hopeful, and if they keep steady, they’ll be in the race.

“As for City – what can I say but my trademark: they’ll fight until the end. I’ve seen it happen in the flesh.”
