‘Comply or get sacked’ — Elon Musk issues new directive to federal employees

Tech billionaire Elon Musk, who leads President Donald Trump’s newly created Department of Government Efficiency, DOGE, has issued a directive to all United States federal employees.

Musk stated that they would receive an email requesting them to explain what they had accomplished at work in the past week.

The Tesla CEO added that failure to respond to the email would be considered a resignation.

He said: “Consistent with President @realDonaldTrump’s instructions, all federal employees will shortly receive an email requesting to understand what they got done last week. Failure to respond will be taken as a resignation.”

The development comes shortly after Trump urged Musk to be more aggressive in carrying out his assignment.

Media Talk Africa reported that Trump, in a post on his Truth Social on Saturday, acknowledged that Musk was doing a great job.

The US President, however, added that he would like to see him get more aggressive.

Trump said: “Elon is doing a great job, but I would like to see him get more aggressive. Remember, we have a country to save, but ultimately, to make greater than ever before. MAGA!”
