Barcelona vs Osasuna LaLiga clash called off

Barcelona’s La Liga clash against Osasuna on Saturday night has been postponed due to the death of the club’s first-team doctor, Carles Miñarro García.

The match was scheduled to start at 9 pm West African Time (WAT) but was called off around 20 minutes before kick-off.

“FC Barcelona is deeply saddened to announce the passing of first-team doctor Carles Miñarro García this evening,” the club said in a statement.

“For this reason, the match between FC Barcelona and CA Osasuna has been postponed to a later date.

“The FC Barcelona board of directors and all staff extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends during this difficult time.”

Barcelona are currently top of the league standings after 26 fixtures.

Hansi Flick’s men have 57 points, one more than their arch-rivals, Real Madrid.
