PDP Secretariat: Wike doesn’t belong to your society, obey FCT laws – Olayinka replies Lamido

Lere Olayinka, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has rubbished former Jigawa State Governor, Sule Lamido over his criticisms of the minister.

Olayinka said everyone in the FCT obeys the laws of the capital city under Wike’s leadership.

He noted that unlike Lamido, Wike does not belong to his society of impunity.

Lamido had earlier on Wednesday, called for the expulsion of Wike and other impostors from the PDP.

He had claimed that Wike’s continued presence in the PDP was a risk to the party.

The former governor, who described Wike as a disaster, vowed to boycott the party’s activities if the Minister is not dealt with.

He made the comments while frowning at the sealing of the PDP’s National Secretariat.

The FCT Authority under Wike’s leadership had sealed the PDP National Secretariat alongside other properties for defaulting in the payment of ground rent.

The FCTA had revoked the land titles of 4,794 properties for non-payment of ground rent from 10 to 43 years of which the PDP Secretariat was affected.

Following outcry that greeted the confiscation of properties by the FCTA, President Bola Tinubu had intervened and the Minister gave a 14 days grace period to defaulters to pay their ground rent.

Reacting to Lamido’s remark, Olayinka in a terse message to Media Talk Africa, Olayinka wondered what PDP produced in Jigawa State since Lamido left office in 2015.

He said: “We don’t have time to exchange words with someone who carries on like PDP as a party is only about his Jigawa, where he is the beginning and the last of the party.

“Since he left office as governor in 2015, what has PDP produced in Jigawa, apart from Sule Lamido and his children as the party’s candidates?

“On the PDP Secretariat, the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, is not a member of Sule Lamido’s society of impunity and lawlessness.

“For him, everyone must obey the laws as far as dealing with the FCT is concerned.”
