2027: Running mate talks humiliate Shettima — Udenta

The founding National Secretary of the Alliance for Democracy, Prof Udenta Udenta, says talks about a running mate for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 election is humiliating Vice President Kashim Shettima.

Udenta, a fellow of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, spoke on ‘Sunrise Daily’, a programme on Channels Television, on Monday.

He said the fact that governors and other stakeholders in the All Progressives Congress, APC, backed Tinubu’s second term bid but left out Shettima showed that the party has a plan underway.

Udenta also slammed the APC National Working Committee for saying Tinubu’s running mate would be decided after the party’s convention, saying it ought not to be so.
