Nigerians now have more confidence in naira—CBN Governor Cardoso

The Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Olayemi Cardoso, has said for the first time in a long while, Nigerians are now having greater confidence in the naira.
Cardoso made this known while fielding questions at the end of the 301st Monetary Policy Committee meeting on Tuesday.

According to him, naira stability at the foreign exchange market has come to stay with more transparency and vigilance in the nation’s FX market.

“Most importantly, Nigerians are having greater confidence in our currency,” he stated.

Media Talk Africa reports that CBN MPC on Tuesday retained the interest rate at 27.50 percent.
