The Independent National Electoral Commission in Ogun State has completed the collation of results from the presidential election. At precisely 11:00 PM on Sunday, the results for the 20th local government area were announced, revealing that the All Progressives Congress (APC) secured victories in all councils. The collation process was overseen by the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Niyi Ijalayem, and the state collation officer, Prof. Kayode Adebowale, at the state collation center in Abeokuta.
The results from all local governments indicated that Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the APC, won decisively against his opponents. He surpassed candidates from other parties, including Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, Peter Obi of the Labour Party, and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party. Following the collation, the results are being transported to the national collation center in Abuja by Prof. Adebowale, who is also the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, where they will be officially read and the winner declared.
In addition to Tinubu’s victory, other APC candidates for the National Assembly also emerged victorious in the elections held on Saturday.
