Northern Leaders Laud Tinubu’s Infrastructure Deliveries

Headline: Northern Nigeria Leaders Applaud President Tinubu’s Infrastructure Progress

In a resounding vote of confidence, prominent leaders from Northern Nigeria have commended President Bola Tinubu’s administration for its significant strides in infrastructural development in the region. The praise came at the conclusion of a two-day government-citizen engagement summit held in Kaduna from July 29 to 30, 2025.

Organized by the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, the summit culminated in a communiqué that highlighted several infrastructure projects deserving of praise. These include highway developments, the 614km Ajaokuta-Kaduna-Kano (AKK) gas pipeline, oil exploration at Kolmani in Bauchi State, and rural irrigation schemes.

Leaders at the summit recognized the administration’s high performance in keeping its electoral promises, especially in infrastructure development. They also acknowledged persistent challenges, appreciating the government’s openness to dialogue and continuous citizen engagement.

Engr. Abubakar Gambo Umar, the Director-General of the Sir Ahmadu Bello Memorial Foundation, signed the communiqué on Thursday. It read, “The summit concluded that Northern Nigeria acknowledges and commends the administration’s high performance… The government demonstrated openness to dialogue and…commitment to delivering on electoral promises.”

The AKK gas pipeline project, a $2.8 billion venture, is nearing completion, with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited reporting an 83% completion rate in its July monthly report. Additionally, the state-owned oil firm recently announced the drilling of four oil wells in the Kolmani area of Bauchi State.

President Tinubu’s administration has demonstrated a commitment to transforming Nigeria’s infrastructure landscape, with the North benefiting significantly from these efforts. This positive feedback from Northern leaders underscores the administration’s success in delivering on campaign promises and fostering regional development.

As Nigeria continues to strive for economic growth and national stability, the successful completion and implementation of these infrastructure projects are expected to catalyze regional development and empower communities across the North. These strides, in turn, reflect positively on the country’s progress as a whole.
