NNPP VP Candidate Backs Kwankwaso for 2027 Presidency

Archbishop Isaac Idahosa, vice presidential candidate of the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP), has praised the party’s national leader, Rabiu Kwankwaso, for his political mentorship. Idahosa, who was Kwankwaso’s running mate in the 2023 presidential election, described Kwankwaso as the person who introduced him to the world of politics.

Speaking at the NNPP’s National Executive Committee meeting in Abuja, Idahosa expressed his gratitude to Kwankwaso and reaffirmed his confidence in the party’s future. He noted that the NNPP’s recent victory in a by-election in Kano, where the party won a seat in the House of Representatives, demonstrates its growing strength and popularity.

Idahosa attributed the party’s success to Kwankwaso’s leadership, stating that his credibility and integrity have made the NNPP a viable alternative for Nigerians. He emphasized that Kwankwaso is the only credible leader who can restore hope, equity, and justice to the Nigerian people.

The archbishop also commented on the state of politics in Nigeria, suggesting that there are essentially only two parties in the country: the NNPP and all others. He emphasized that leadership should be about serving the people, rather than personal interests.

Idahosa’s remarks come as the NNPP continues to build momentum ahead of future elections. With Kwankwaso at the helm, the party is positioning itself as a major force in Nigerian politics. The archbishop’s endorsement of Kwankwaso’s leadership is significant, as it underscores the party’s commitment to its vision for Nigeria’s future.

As the country looks to the 2027 presidential election, the NNPP is likely to be a key player. Idahosa’s comments suggest that the party is confident in its ability to make a strong showing, with Kwankwaso as its standard-bearer. With its growing popularity and credible leadership, the NNPP is poised to make a significant impact on Nigeria’s political landscape.
