EPL table: Arsenal go top with 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest

Arsenal seized the top spot in the Premier League after a convincing 3‑0 victory over Nottingham Forest at the Emirates Stadium on Saturday. The win marked a strong return to action for the Gunners following the international break, allowing them to rebound from a 1‑0 defeat at Liverpool in their previous outing.

Arsenal dominated the early exchanges, creating several scoring opportunities before Martin Zubimendi broke the deadlock with a well‑taken volley just before halftime. The goal gave the home side a deserved lead and set the tone for the second half. Immediately after the restart, Arsenal doubled their advantage when Eberechi Eze delivered a precise pass to Viktor Gyökeres, who slotted the ball past the Forest goalkeeper. The goal effectively sealed the win, and Arsenal continued to press forward in search of more.

Zubimendi added a second goal, heading in a cross from Leandro Trossard to complete the scoring. The result moves Arsenal to the top of the Premier League table with nine points from four fixtures. However, their stay at the summit may be short‑lived, as Liverpool can overtake them when they travel to Burnley on Sunday.

The Premier League season is still in its early stages, but Arsenal’s win over Nottingham Forest demonstrates their intent to challenge for the title. With several key fixtures ahead, the Gunners will look to maintain their momentum and solidify their position at the top of the table.
