Anatoly Malykhin, the former three‑division ONE world champion, will meet Oumar Kane in a highly anticipated rematch at ONE 173: Superbon vs. Noiri. The Russian powerhouse suffered his first professional loss to Kane—a split‑decision defeat at ONE 169 last year—that ended his perfect run in the organization. Now 37, Malykhin has vowed to return to the aggressive, knockout‑hungry style that made him one of ONE Championship’s most exciting fighters. He remains the only athlete in MMA history to hold three world titles simultaneously across different weight classes.

In a recent interview with ONE Championship, Malykhin declared, “I don’t want to be beaten. You will see the same Anatoly who knocks out his opponents, whom you all love.” He emphasized his renewed focus, adding, “I’m a beast on the hunt. I removed all the negativity from my head, and I’m simply enjoying every moment again.”

The rematch is set for November 16 at the Ariake Arena in Tokyo, Japan, as part of the ONE 173 card, which will also feature several world‑title bouts. The event is expected to draw a large audience and showcase some of the world’s top martial artists. North American fans can watch live via local listings or on the ONE Championship website.

Malykhin’s return to form is eagerly awaited, and his renewed motivation suggests an explosive performance. Determined to reclaim his title and reaffirm his status as one of the organization’s elite fighters, he promises a thrilling showdown against Kane—an event not to be missed.
