Maduagwu, a 29‑year‑old news anchor and lawyer, was reportedly killed during an armed robbery at her residence in the Katampe area of Abuja on 29 September 2025. The Nigeria Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding her death. Idris described her as a “vibrant and dedicated news anchor” whose work resonated with audiences across Nigeria and beyond, and he assured that the investigation would be swift in uncovering the facts.
