Bello Backs Tinubu’s Reelection Bid in Kogi State

Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has expressed confidence in President Bola Tinubu’s potential re-election, stating that the president does not need to campaign in the state in 2027. Bello made this statement at an endorsement rally in support of President Tinubu and Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo’s bid for a second term.

According to Bello, there is no opposition in Kogi State, and those who may be making noise will be silenced when the time comes. He praised President Tinubu as a leader who has earned the respect and admiration of the people, and expressed his loyalty to the president even after he leaves office.

Bello also commended President Tinubu for the development projects and appointments he has initiated in Kogi State, as well as his efforts to address insecurity. He thanked the president for his support and expressed satisfaction with the performance of Governor Ododo, who he described as doing an excellent job.

The endorsement rally is a significant show of support for President Tinubu and Governor Ododo, and Bello’s statement reflects the confidence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state. With the 2027 elections still pending, Bello’s assurance that President Tinubu will be re-elected in Kogi State without needing to campaign is a notable development in the state’s political landscape.

As the APC continues to consolidate its support base in Kogi State, the party’s leaders are optimistic about their chances in the upcoming elections. The endorsement rally and Bello’s statement are expected to boost the morale of party supporters and reinforce the APC’s position as a dominant force in the state’s politics.

President Tinubu’s administration has been focusing on addressing the country’s infrastructure and security challenges, and the support from Kogi State is seen as a significant boost to his re-election bid. As the political landscape continues to evolve, the outcome of the 2027 elections will be closely watched by analysts and observers.
