The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Niger State has announced its support for female political aspirants, urging them to contest positions ranging from local government councillorship to seats in the Niger State House of Assembly. This initiative reflects the party’s commitment to inclusivity, especially for women and persons with disabilities, who constitute a significant portion of the population and play crucial roles in national development.

State Chairman Alhaji Musa Hassan said the ADC is dedicated to tackling the economic challenges confronting the country, including worsening insecurity and unemployment. Many Nigerians have been forced to seek alternative livelihoods, such as operating commercial tricycles and taxis. In response, the ADC is formulating policies aimed at transforming the nation and addressing these economic difficulties.

Hassan criticized the current administration for failing to resolve persistent problems in the power and education sectors despite abundant resources. He asserted that the ADC possesses the vision and leadership capacity to drive national transformation if it receives the mandate in 2027. The chairman also urged citizens to remain hopeful and to exercise their democratic rights by obtaining Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) ahead of the elections.

The ADC’s emphasis on inclusivity and national development comes as the country prepares for the 2027 elections. By focusing on economic challenges and promoting women’s participation in politics, the party aims to resonate with voters seeking change. As the electoral landscape evolves, the ADC’s efforts to engage citizens and encourage democratic participation will be closely watched, and its message of hope and transformation is expected to gain traction among Nigerians yearning for alternative leadership and a better future.
