Osun Governor: PDP Resolves Internal Issues Ahead of Convention

Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has assured that the internal conflicts within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) are being resolved amicably. Speaking to journalists in Abuja on Monday, Adeleke stated that the party is united and ready for its upcoming national convention. As the Deputy Chairman of the Convention and Chairman of the Accommodation Sub-Committee, Adeleke emphasized that all arrangements have been finalized for a successful convention, scheduled to take place on October 15 and 16.

The governor’s comments came after he presided over the inaugural meeting of the Accommodation Sub-Committee of the PDP National Convention Committee. He noted that the meeting was well-attended and that all outstanding issues had been resolved to ensure a smooth convention. Adeleke highlighted the PDP’s long-standing culture of internal organization and respect for due process, which he believes will contribute to the convention’s success.

Adeleke also addressed reports of divisions within the party, dismissing them as internal matters that are being managed accordingly. He described the PDP as a family that knows how to manage its affairs, and emphasized that the party is capable of resolving its issues without external intervention. By characterizing the internal conflicts as a “family affair,” Adeleke underscored the party’s commitment to internal resolution and unity.

The PDP’s national convention is a significant event in the party’s calendar, and Adeleke’s assurances are likely to be closely watched by party members and observers alike. With the convention just around the corner, the party’s ability to present a united front will be crucial in determining its future direction. As the PDP prepares for the convention, Adeleke’s comments suggest that the party is taking steps to resolve its internal differences and move forward in a unified manner.
