Troops of Operation Hadin Kai have neutralized ten terrorists and recovered a substantial cache of arms, ammunition and equipment along the Gamboru–Dikwa–Marte axis in Borno State. The precision night maneuver was carried out by Sector 1 forces under the 24 Task Force Brigade, according to Media Information Officer Lt‑Col. Sani Uba. The operation thwarted an attempt by militants to infiltrate Gamboru Ngala from the Flatari axis; the fleeing insurgents were later engaged and eliminated on the Dikwa–Marte road.

Among the recovered items were five AK‑47 rifles, one PKT machine gun, three Dane guns, two improvised pistols, five AK‑47 magazines, linked ammunition, motorcycles, bicycles and a radio set. This seizure follows an earlier offensive around the Katarko axis, where more than 50 insurgents were killed.

The military high command praised the troops for their gallantry and reiterated its commitment to sustained offensive operations against terrorist groups. These actions form part of a broader strategy to degrade the capabilities of insurgents, restore peace and stability in the North‑East, and protect civilians in the affected areas. The Nigerian government has reaffirmed its support for the armed forces’ efforts to ensure the safety and security of all citizens.
