2027: We're considering two options on electing presidential candidate - ADC

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has reached a significant milestone in Benue State, Nigeria, registering 553,751 members across the state’s 23 local government areas (LGAs). This achievement comes barely three months after the party’s official unveiling in the state. During a meeting of the ADC Benue State Executive Committee and the 23 LGA committee chairmen, it was noted that membership registration is ongoing and that the party is gaining increasing acceptance.

The meeting, held at the party’s state secretariat in Makurdi on October 27, reviewed the progress of the registration drive and the party’s growing popularity. High Chief Terngu Tsegba, the State Committee Chairman, praised the efforts of members of the state, local government, and ward committees for sensitizing and mobilizing residents in both urban and rural areas. He attributed the “overwhelming acceptability and large membership registration” to their work and emphasized the need to remain focused and inclusive, noting that the ADC is built on equality, fairness, and transparency.

Key party officials in attendance included State Secretary Samson Okwu, Publicity Secretary Stevie Ayua, Prof. Cletus Tyoikyaa, Abeije Egwa, Elizabeth Allagh, Ato Agber, and the 23 LGA committee chairmen. The party’s commitment to its core values is expected to continue driving its growth and acceptance in Benue State.

The ADC’s rapid expansion in Benue State marks a notable development in Nigeria’s political landscape. With its increasing membership and rising popularity, the party is poised to play a significant role in the state’s political affairs. As it continues to mobilize support and register new members, the ADC is likely to remain a key player, with its focus on equality, fairness, and transparency resonating with voters and contributing to its ongoing growth and success.
