Dangote Refinery has lowered the gantry price of Premium Motor Spirit in Nigeria after a notable drop in the landing cost of imported petrol. The ex‑depot price has been reduced to N827 per litre, down from N872, a decrease of N44. The company confirmed the adjustment, citing consistent declines in the landing cost over the past few days.
Data from the Major Energy Marketers Association of Nigeria show that the landing cost fell to N827.04 as of November 2025, already prompting lower retail fuel prices in parts of Abuja. This price cut is part of Dangote Refinery’s strategy to stay competitive in the downstream sector. Its retail partners, including MRS and AP Ardova, are expected to follow suit and bring their petrol prices below N950 per litre in the coming days.
