The Ebonyi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed support for the newly appointed Caretaker Committee, led by Barrister Ekuma Emmanuel. The meeting was attended by prominent party figures, including the South-East National Vice Chairman, Chidiebere Goodluck Egwu, and the 2023 deputy governorship candidate, Senator Paulinus Igwe Nwagu. The leaders commended the National Working Committee (NWC) for the appointment, stating that it has restored hope and cohesion within the party.
Senator Nwagu emphasized that the PDP is now ready to rebuild and reposition itself, noting that the party “cannot die.” He expressed confidence that the true leadership of the party has finally arrived. The South-East National Vice Chairman, Egwu, thanked the National Secretary of the PDP, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, for his role in promoting the party’s interests in the region.
The Caretaker Committee Chairman, Ekuma, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support from party leaders and members. He assured that the committee is committed to discharging its mandate and preparing the party for the 2027 general election.
