LP, PDP candidates no threat to Sanwo-Olu’s re-election – ex-LASAA boss

The immediate past Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Lagos State Signage and Advertising Agency, Mobolaji Sanusi, says the Labour Party and Peoples Democratic Party governorship candidates—Gbadebo Rhodes‑Vivour and Jide Adediran—pose no threat to Governor Babajide Sanwo‑Olu’s re‑election bid. Sanusi expressed confidence that “Lagosians will not be cajoled into bequeathing the fifth‑largest‑growing economy in Africa into the hands of either of the opposition candidates that lack public‑service experience or proven leadership track records.” His call for support was outlined in a press statement released to the press on Wednesday.

Sanusi praised Governor Sanwo‑Olu and his deputy, Dr Obafemi Hamzat, for presenting a united front in managing Lagos State’s affairs. Ahead of the governorship poll, the former LASAA chief urged voters to back the incumbent, stating, “As Lagosians, one of the important things for us to do going into the election is to renew the mandate of Mr Governor by confidently casting our votes for him to ensure continuity of his developmental strides.” He added that Sanwo‑Olu and his running mate have, over the past four years, elevated the state’s development, maintaining Lagos’s top position among the federation’s states. “We cannot afford to entrust the economy of Lagos State to political neophytes,” Sanusi concluded.
