Trump Threatens Iran as US-Israel Strike Campaign Intensifies

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued another warning to Iran, escalating tensions as the United States and Israel intensify their military operations in the region. Speaking on Monday, Trump suggested that Iran could face a decisive strike, stating that “the entire country could be taken out in one night,” and that such an attack “might be tomorrow night.”

The remarks followed an incident on Thursday when an American F-15 fighter jet crashed deep inside Iranian territory during Operation Epic Fury, a joint U.S.-Israeli air campaign. Trump described the operation as proceeding “unbelievably well, at a level that nobody’s ever seen before.”

The escalation comes after Trump issued a strongly worded ultimatum on social media, threatening to bomb Iranian infrastructure unless the country reopens the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran has maintained a blockade of the vital oil shipping lane since the onset of the conflict, disrupting global energy supplies.

Israel has also stepped up its military actions. On Monday, Israeli forces bombed Iran’s largest petrochemical complex. The facility’s operator later confirmed that the situation was “under control,” though the full extent of the damage remains unclear.

The Strait of Hormuz is a critical chokepoint for global oil shipments, with roughly 20% of the world’s petroleum passing through its waters. Any prolonged closure threatens to destabilize energy markets and heighten geopolitical tensions across the Middle East.

Diplomatic efforts to de-escalate the situation have so far yielded little progress, and both sides appear to be hardening their positions. The international community is closely monitoring developments, with concerns growing over the potential for further military confrontation and its broader implications for regional stability and global energy security.
