The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has confirmed the peaceful and credible conclusion of its state congresses nationwide, marking a significant step in its commitment to internal democracy and transparent party governance. In a statement issued by National Publicity Secretary Bolaji Abdullahi, the party hailed the exercise as a demonstration of due process and collective maturity among its members.
Abdullahi said the successful conduct of the congresses reflects the ADC’s enduring dedication to democratic principles and the rule of law. He commended party members and stakeholders for their disciplined participation and shared sense of purpose throughout the process.
The party has scheduled the formal inauguration of newly elected state executives and chairmen for May 12, 2026, though it noted that the date may be adjusted at the discretion of the National Working Committee. The incoming officials have been urged to align with the national leadership and work under the guidance of National Chairman David Mark to strengthen the party’s structures across the country.
